The Road So Far...
On an assignment for her job in Japan, Yuki's mother, Brooke MacKinsley, met a mysterious man by a seaside inn. After a weekend of romance, he vanished, leaving her with questions, and, unknowingly, a baby growing inside her. Brooke stayed in Japan for the duration of her pregnancy, never once mentioning her condition to her nineteen year old son that lived wit her mother back in the states. When it came time for the delivery, she suffered due to the immense power coming from the child. The magic eventually overwhelmed her, and Brooke passed away only minutes after giving birth to her daughter.
Through unknown means, Yuki was transported to her grandmother's farm, where she arrived in a basket made of bamboo wicker. A piece of parchment was attached, it's only message saying "由紀", Yuki spelled with Japanese characters. Although confused at first, her brother quickly realized who she was by remembering his prophetic dreams about his mother dying in childbirth. Yuki spent her infant years on the farm, being raised by her grandmother and her older brother. When her grandmother passed away, her brother discovered that the farm would soon be taken away, and he would be arrested for his grandmother's crimes. Packing all he could, Finn took Yuki, his horse, and the rest of his family's fortune, and left the farm for good.
Now on the road, Yuki is discovering just what she is capable of. This could lead her to the mystery of her lineage.
